Ordering flowers online can be a daunting process. Having never done it before I wanted to give it a try but I didn’t know exactly where to start, There are plenty of mail order florist at the moment and choosing your first one, much like ordering the flowers in the first place, can be a scary idea.

More so if you cannot make up your mind, like me.

Appleyard Flowers is a London based luxury flower delivery company. They offer a wide range of beautiful bouquets at various prices. They made ordering and choosing which flowers to buy easier than I expected, I wanted something simple and clean but that smelt amazing.

The bouquet that I picked is called Purity, a beautiful collection of ammi, avalanche roses, bouvardia and white antirrhinum. I can honestly say that walking into my living room with these flowers sitting on the table has made the morning a lot brighter and better scented. Along with the basic bouquets that you can buy one off, Appleyard offers a wonderful subscription service that can be posted directly through your letter box. Which frankly sounds like a delightful thing if you love getting flowers every month. All completely different and equally stunning.

Appleyard offers a free next day delivery service if you place an order before 7pm, my beautiful bouquet arrived neatly packaged in a box. The flowers themselves with their stems inside a plastic packaging along with a sachet of flower feed to place into their water.

**

The only major issue I had with the delivery was that it arrived very late in the day and may have been stuck on the back of the post lorry for longer than it should be so my flowers didn’t last as long as I hoped they would but I wouldn’t blame Appleyard for that and more of the delivery boy or dropped them off. But other than that slight issue they are a beautiful bunch of flowers that brightened my day when I opened up my living room and while they lasted smelt so amazing.

If you are after some flowers of your own I highly recommend you give Appleyard a go, they offer a wide range of options for different occasions as well as a ‘flowers and gifts’ service too with chocolates or champagne. I am definitely going to give the subscription service a try next year and enjoy these beautiful flowers all year around.

Another week has gone by, another photograph Sunday for me to share and it’s just more flowers of course, these beautiful fox gloves are in a neighbours garden and have been utterly covered with fuzzy bumblebees all week!

When we finally move and I get to have a garden it will be full of bee friendly plants and of course lots of wind chimes and bird feeders.

It’s really been a long and warm week, with the pollen count really high I am so ready for autumn now, my poor eyes are just so fed up and I’m so surprised as to how high it’s been.

Oh well.. here’s to another week!

This weeks photo comes from my day over my mums house, Mr S needed to do some much needed catch up on some writing that hes been doing for his website and because the children can be such a handle and very noisy I asked my mum if we could come to her house for the day and let him get on with it.

and he did..

but I took my camera and snapped away lots of photos of the children and her garden/house

These are Cyclamens that sit in her conservatory, if you follow me on my instagram you would’ve seen this photo already but I love how clear and clean everything looks.

Today we are off to my aunts house for a meal, expect anything I take today to end up in next weeks photograph Sunday

Until next time

March was another one of those crazy months, the weather was so unsettled, one minute it was sunny and beautiful and the next minute the snow had fallen, March was definitely a better month than February, I don’t know what was wrong with me but I was completely blue and non motivated during Feb which explains why I missed out on doing February in Photos, for one I just didn’t get out much and two I was also really sick with the flu.. Now I feel a lot better, mentally and physically but I just have the dreaded hay fever to look forward to once Spring finally kicks into gear!

The buds are blooming, the birds are mating and the bees are out getting the pollen, March also marks my sons 8th birthday which we went out to a Mexican restaurant and had the most beautiful table in the place and had such a fun time swimming.

Whats funny about this time of year is that we usually go for walks in the woods and I am snapping away photos of the bluebells, but when we went there last weekend there wasn’t a single flower, perhaps we was too early going to the woods or perhaps it was just the cold and snow delaying them from growing.. but expect April to be full of beautiful photos of those woods, I am also going to try and get some lovely photos of my children to include into the post too, I am very nervous about sharing their photos but I will keep their privacy hidden for my own personal reasons but I feel that they need to be added into the end of month shots too.

This weekend was a busy one, it was my last few days alone without Mr S so me and the children all went around to see my mum, and of course Tom my nikon came with me.

She was busying herself in the garden and while the children dug holes and planted ‘tree’s’ I snapped a few photos of the flowers.

I really like this one, I was worried it would’ve looked blurry and wonky as I don’t exactly have the steadiest hand but I am so pleased it came out as clear as it did!

I did take a few more but I’ll save that for next week 😉

Until next time
