July was just a wonderful month, it was also one of the hottest months in a long while and its honestly been tough dealing with the heat while parenting, my blogging sort of took a back seat as I lost motivation to blog during the heatwave that covered England, feels odd that just a few months ago it was frozen, its safe to say I cannot wait until autumn and winter which as of now is only a month away.
Yes I have been counting down the days since the end of winter.
This month has been full of fun, adventure and memories. I decided to take the time to visit my old childhood home in the country and place some flowers at the grave that my aunt, grandma and granddad are buried which I talked about in a Photograph Sunday, I was sad to notice that there hadn’t been anything placed at the grave at all and it had become very weather worn, so mum and I cleaned it up and placed some flowers and it made me really appreciate my families past and make sure my children do not forget them.
Beach Life is Real..
It was also the hottest month on record, it hit 30 every single day of July and it was horrific! it has been beautiful don’t get me wrong and the sky has been full of blue and the odd cloud but my goodness has it been hard for those who like the cold weather, However thankfully it was stunning when we went away for our first family holiday and met my wonderful blogger friend Becca, her blog is here if you want to give her a read and I recommend you also give her a follow on twitter too, the children played in the sea and we all got a little sunburn but it was beautiful and thanks to the sea breeze it wasn’t to bad.
We took a trip to our local paddling pool which ended up getting full of rubbish thanks to the idiots in the world, plus we also took a trip into London to see Dinosaurs in the Wild which was so much fun, Decided to take a trip to visit my mum for dinner and saw how much Amelia’s tomato plant has grown.
All in all July was, despite the heat, such a wonderful month for us. I felt very positive in everything and I am excited to see what I snap in the month of August!!.
The ‘Sightings from..’ Linky is run by the beautiful Caitlyis every month to celebrate in photos of what we see throughout the year, if you wish to join up head on over to her blog.
What an amazing month was June? I am not one to enjoy the sunshine but our county was one of the driest in england with barely any rainfall, so much so that the grass is yellow from how dry it is, Nothing honestly happened during the month of June, a lot of sunshine, a lot of beautiful flowers and plenty of cute little fledglings, we did go for a walk to the town park and found some huge pine cones which we are going back to get at some point for some autumn and Christmas craft ideas that I have, Yes I did just utter the C word in a post about June!!
World Cup fever is also in full bloom with lots of St George’ flags flying at local pubs.
June was a good month for me, I had a goal to make sure my third year blogging would be a good one and it is so far, I have made new friends and got in touch with old ones, worked really hard on talking to brands and I am now 100% addicted to Instagram now that I am working on sort of a theme and trying to be a bit more creative with that..
June was a good month 🙂

July will be full of wonderful photos from our travels as we are off to Birmingham to visit my lovely baby group ladies and we are off to Weymouth for the weekend to meet the amazing Becca from My Girls and Me and her family which I cannot wait for, While I am excited the hayfever season is almost over and we are now two months from autumn, I really have enjoyed this summer..
Despite the heat of course.
May was such a weird month, a mixture of extremely hot days and some really wet and rainy ones, the month started with an almost full moon and ended on one too, which I managed to snap with my coolpix camera as I have seen so many wonderful zoomed shots of the moon using this camera before, we visited my mum twice and had far to much to eat as usual, the children built mud pies in her garden while Robin ran in and out of her house, Blossom and pollen everywhere so I didn’t really enjoy the month, spending a lot of it with itchy eyes but it was beautiful, everyone loves a good dandelion head!
Pancakes during half term with lots and lots of Minecraft being played as it was such a soggy week off school, adorable fledgling baby birds and plenty of artwork..
.. and of course stealing mummy’s washi tape to stack and build..
despite the weather it wasn’t that bad.. I don’t think anyone expected the heat after such a cold start to the year, but its not been THAT hard to deal with, I have probably been a grumpy mummy during it but I am now counting down the days until autumn… without three months to go!
The ‘Sightings from…’ linky is run by the wonderful Caitylis on her blog, here’s a little link to it if you wish to also take part!
