A to Z – T is for Teen Mom.

Teen Mom –

Who doesn’t like a bit of trashy television, and to be fair, since the start of the Teen Mon franchise the series has gotten a lot more trashier as it’s gone along.

Teen Mom is a spin off from the MTV series 16 and Pregnant which follows the lives of four young mums as they deal with parenting and life… in the beginning of the show it was sort of realistic, struggles of employment and college but as the years have gone on it’s just become a ‘who can spent the most money’ show..

More babies have been added and plenty of drama to boot but why do people like watching it? For me I really don’t know haha.

And because they are on our screens all the super mums come out and share unwanted advice and hatred towards these mums.. no ones perfect and if these lot make a mistake hundreds of thousands of people are watching and judging!

Personally I couldn’t do that, it’s bad enough being on twitter!!

But I do love seeing the children grow up and become brilliant little people.

Until next time

Autumn Tag.

I want to say a quick thank you to the wonderful Becca from My Girls and Me for tagging me in this little Autumn tag, seeing as its still very much autumn I dont see why I cant do it. (I have changed one thing around purely because it is not October anymore)

But enough of that, onto the Q’s

1. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE AUTUMNAL LIP COLOUR? – I don’t really wear much lipstick if I am truly honest, I can never find a nice color that doesn’t make me look like a pennywise!

3. FAVOURITE AUTUMN DRINK? – Boring old tea, although I have started to love hot chocolate!

4. FAVOURITE AUTUMN CANDLE?  – Festive Spice, not exactly autumnal but I got a reed defuer the other week of this scent and I have just got the candle too – from next here

5. FAVOURITE AUTUMN ACCESSORY? – My arm warmers, as soon as the weather turns cold I get my arm warmers out.

6. HAUNTED HOUSE OR SCARY MAZE? – Oo.. can I say neither? I am such a wuss haha

7. FAVOURITE HALLOWEEN MOVIE? – Shaun of the Dead, I cant do much horror (says the person who called 28 weeks later their favorite scary film) but I think Shaun of the dead is perfect for halloween

Toddlerbike – Review.

img_5731

A while back I was given the opportunity to try out and review the Toddlebike2, Toddlebike was founded by the lovely Jo Hockley and her son, who like all toddlers didn’t enjoy sitting in their buggy..

We had the choice of three different colors, Pink, Blue and Red and naturally, we picked red, its incredibly light, but extremely sturdy, the amount of times i’ve walked in and found my lump of a 6 year old sitting on it..

When it first arrived R wasn’t to sure of it, she spent more time pushing it around rather than sitting on it but it wasn’t long before she figured out the black bit at the end was a seat perfect for little bottoms, she mastered walking around on it inside so once we had a nice sunny day we headed outside and let her try out there too!

They are designed to be ‘pre-balance bikes’ which are the best things to get children used to proper bikes when they are older as it teaches them how to balance first before learning the peddles and these are perfect for little legs.

DSC_0011

Its not to big either, and as I said is extremely light so it rarely gets in the way of our busy home life and tucks neatly under our nest of tables in the living room.

Would I recommend it? – Yes I do, its given R a little bit more independence and she is enjoying playing with it ever day, she will often sit on it when she has her snack which is really sweet to see.

Price? – Not bad, if you buy through the Toddlebike2 website its £23.95 which isn’t that bad, I would probably have got it myself for her Christmas present.

Anything Else? – Not really, its a great price for what it is and gets used daily, stores away just find and is light, plus as I said my 6 year old sits on it so its very sturdy, perfect little bike.

If you wish to buy Toddlebike2 yourself you can find it on their website AND in Halfords

Photograph Sunday

This week I have been working hard, I’ve upped my flatlay game to make my photos of things look better than ever.

I am starting to look like an actual blogger haha, this was my workspace on Monday, on the floor with my laptop to one side and my camera to the other taking and editing photographs for future posts!

Who can beat a bit of flatlay porn!?

Amelia’s ears – Update.

I thought I would give a little update on what’s been going on with my middle child’s ears..

img_3652
She reached the end of the 6 week ‘healing’ on the second week of school after the summer holidays so we decided to take them out purely on the days which she had PE at school with the promise to pop them back in once I picked her up… seems like a great idea apart from the fact that I didn’t anticipate her ears semi healing over during the time she was at school..

A little ‘ouch’ here and a ‘ooo’ there, we managed to push them back in, quickly googling I find out that the six weeks is earliest amount of time for a piercing to be healed, frustrated we decided to leave them in for a little longer…

Roll on four weeks later when I notice her ears had bled, they weren’t infected because they didn’t feel hot and she didn’t say they hurt, so once again I googled and found that she may have a nickel allergy, one of the images I found looked extremely similar to a rash she developed after wearing some cheap necklace..

After doing a bit more research, we removed the gold earrings and replaced them with a silver pair and started cleaning them with sea salt..

The very next day, almost over night, they improved, they weren’t bloody and seemed completely healed, so we stopped with the salt water and just cleaned them with regular water..

Unfortunately, during a party I noticed her ears looked bruised, I checked the back of them and she had this huge pus spot where the butterfly sat, I quickly removed them and when we got home started cleaning them again with salt, she asked for them to go back in but we now have to make sure to clean them morning and at bed time until they are completely healed.

I have never experienced this before with my own ears, I don’t think I even bothered ‘cleaning’ my last set which just healed on their own without any trouble..

Honestly, Not sure where we are going from here on, besides constantly cleaning them and hoping for the best.

Who knew ears could be so much trouble!

Have you ever experienced any difficulty with piercings? or is it a lost cause..

Until next time

A to Z – S is for Social Media

Social Media –

Not a day goes by so I see someone complaining about social media, my mum for an example hates it and I can see why she does, she doesn’t agree with ‘sharing your life’ but I don’t think she understands that you don’t need to share everything you do online.

I use Facebook for family members who I don’t see often, it’s easier to share photos of the kids to their great nan on Facebook than it is just waiting until we see her.

With twitter I talk to new friends who I’ve found through blogging, some of who I hope to one day meet and talk in person with

And of course Instagram, which is full of inspiration, who doesn’t like Instagram?

Perhaps it’s because I’m a bit younger than her, I’ve been using the net for most of my life and I remember a time before social media and honestly nothing has changed, besides from the fact you couldn’t randomly tweet that celeb you sets your trousers on fire, I do sort of miss a time before social media, everything seemed less stressful and carefree..

….apart from the mad time of being in someone’s ‘top 10’ on MySpace…

But without social media, I would probably feel very lonely, which considering how everyone used to view the internet back ‘in the day’ isn’t a sad thing, I’m grateful for all my friends who I’ve made through the bright little electronic gadget in my pocket.

Until next time

Superdrug Makeup Haul

Last week I needed to go shopping for some much needed makeup, seeing as we dont have very many makeup stores in my town my main stop is always Superdrug, which has plenty to offer in the way of makeup.

Lately I have been into Makeup Revolution products, they are great quality and of course kind to the old purse..

DSC_0098

Now onto the haul.

DSC_0062
DSC_0093

Sally Hansen miracle gel polish – Not one for nail polishes, I usually just have naked nails but I saw this beautiful shade, which is ‘Spice Age’ number 560, and I had to get it, unfortunately I cannot seem to find this exact shade on the website but I am sure you can find it in store if you love it, its a Gel like polish, which I am actually loving as its staying on my nails a lot longer than regular old polish.
DSC_0063

Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder (Translucent) – I am not going to lie, the powder that I currently use is from Poundland, but as I am now running out I needed to grab some more and of course I went with Makeup Revolution, the little pod swivels open, contains the applicator and a little mirror at the back which I love, pressed powder always reminds me of my nan and her little makeup bag.

DSC_0066

Makeup Revolution Focus and Fix eyebrow shaping kit – I dont have eyebrows, well I do, but they are really fair and honestly its a lot of work in the mornings ‘painting’ them on and making them look human rather than a sharpie, but I am always on the look out for different eyebrow things to try, this little pack comes with three different shades of brown and a wax like substance, I am saving this for when I go out at the end of the month, I got this in light medium.

DSC_0072
DSC_0073

Makeup Revolution duo brow pencil – Another brow product, it comes with a pencil shade and a little brush at the other end to help blend everything and I actually like this, I find pencils a lot easier to control than anything else but I think its a bit darker than I like so I may go back and grab the lighter shade.

DSC_0076

DSC_0077

Elf Flawless Finish foundation in Porcelain – I have heard so many people talk about Elf products lately so I had to try some myself and I actually love it, it blends really well and I love the scent of it, the bottles themselves are really small so I grabbed two but I dont think I have barely used much, sorry Rimmel, I have found a new foundation!

DSC_0081

I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate palette – Not one for palettes I literally dont know where to look when I want to find some nice brown shades, but I love these, I have the chocolate and peaches palette so I thought I couldn’t go wrong with getting this one, and so far its great.. I think i secretly love the packaging with it being shaped like a delicious white chocolate bar, if you are after a great neutral/brown palette I recommend this one.

and thats it, have you tried any of the products that I purchased?

Until next time
