12 Days of Blogmas – Day Eight – Christmas Photos

Christmas Photos –

I realize Photograph Sunday is my main day to share favorite photos of the week or if I see something on my time-hop that I just adore I share that too but today I want to look back at my past Christmases and share with you some of my favorite photos that I have taken/had taken and stories behind them all.

This was considered the last Christmas my family had together, in 2009 my Granddad died and honestly our little family get together didn’t feel the same again, but we had a tradition.. which I think many famlies have of when one member of it falls asleep and of course someone snaps their photo.

That year also was the year I got my Nikon camera and it came with me when I went to Mr S’s family party on Boxing Day –Β  which was our first Christmas together.

During the space of 2008 and 2009 Mr S and I got our first pet together, this is Owen, shes was a lovely girl who we got of his aunt and apparently they couldn’t deal with her, I took up the challenge, to much of my mums annoyance and took home this beautiful little girl.

Also at that time I was pregnant with our first child, Kai, and I think I was about 29 weeks.. feels like a lifetime away now.

We also got a bit of snow a few days before Christmas.

Kai’s first Christmas was a white one, this is my aunts and uncles back garden, with pheasant naturally.. it was cold and beautiful and wonderful that his first Christmas was a white one, and sadly last white one as we haven’t had snow on Christmas since then.

Finally a quick snap of the table decorations at my aunt and uncles house, which is where we go to each Christmas, it was a very windy day and because of where they live the power went completely during dinner, candles got whipped out and it really felt lovely and cozy.

I am honestly so excited for this year and what new photos I can take, I didn’t take many in the years after 2013 and I don’t know why,Β  but I am going to make sure that this year to take as many as I can.

Until next time

I love the stories behind each photo. The Christmas without electricity actually sounds like it would have been really nice with having a candlelit dinner!
