Seeing as we are now mobile, I got Mr S to promise to, after christmas was over of course, to run me to a Lush store and let me experience my first time in one, I have always wanted to go into a store because you cant always tell what things are like on the website AND there are store exclusives too.

but here is my little (haha little?) haul of goodies that I picked up there during the sales..

Bubble Bars

If you’ve seen any posts about lush before you’ll know I am a bubble bar addict, naturally I picked up my favorites which are the beautiful and sparkly Sunnyside, the fruity and citrus filled Brightside and the sweet smelling Candy Mountain, I had to grab two of those because they are just lovely.

Shampoo

I have never tried hard shampoo before, this was sold to be by the lovely woman in the store, its extremely cinnamon scented and really strong but I honestly wanted to give it a try, expect a little review in the future about the product, heres a little link to the product if you fancy giving it a try

Shower Gels

The main reason why I wanted to head to a store was to find a few more bottles of Snow Fairy, as Lush for this sale was a store only sale and you couldn’t get much online and unfortunately Snow Fairy has been a really popular thing this year so I didn’t find any.. But I did grab Twilight after reading about it and another bottle of Berry Berry Christmas.

Gift Boxes

I only got one, this contained a Golden Wonder bath bomb and a Man in the Moon bubble bar, the Golden Wonder was used that night in a bath for the children and they adored it, I am not usually a fan of bath bombs but this one was wonderful and smelt delightful!

Man in the Moon smelt delightful but I wasn’t too keen on the color that the water went, it was sort of a yellowy green but the smell was lovely!

Nothing really says christmas like new bath products, and I had to do a little Lush order for this time of year as they often bring out seasonal bits that you can only get at certain times of year.. so I give you, a little haul!

Snow Fairy and Merry Berry Christmas shower gels, I have never tried lush shower products before but I decided to give them a try, I am a mad bubble bar fan so you can completely understand my newbie reactions to these, Snow Fairy is amazing, it smells exactly like sherbet and its amazing, a delightful share of pink with some sparkles, I cannot get enough of it! if you love sweet scents then please get this, its wonderful.

Merry Berry Christmas smells so fruity, its made with real blueberry juice, its a bit thicker than Snow Fairy but that doesn’t take away from the fact its delightful, its a lovely shade of dark green which I was surprised by because all the images I had seen of it, it came across a purple/green shade but its of course also full of sparkles, how can you have Christmas without sparkles?

Plum Snow, Brightside and Candy Mountain are the three bubble bars I picked up this time, I wasnt impressed with the scent of plum snow, the color was beautiful and I hope to pair it with Sunnyside (the fun glitterfilled one) in future but I wasnt to sure of it, it doesnt have much of a scent for me personally but as I said, amazing purple colour

Brightside has to be my favorite bubble bar, it smells like oranges and is delightfully citrus scented, it turns the water orange and just wonderful, there isn’t much I can say about it other than its personally the best.

Candy Mountain was also a good one, scented similar to Snow Fairy so whenever I used it I paired it with the shower gel, turned the water a light shade of pink, if you liked Snow Fairy please get this too and you will get out smelling like a sweet shop!

What do you think of these, have you tried any? whats your favorite Lush product?

Until Next time

We’ve all seen it, all over the newspapers and in the mum forums, Lush have this wonderful new body lotion which has a mix of lavender and oatmeal. its advertised as a ‘relaxing and dreamy’ lotion you put on after a bath. (you can find it here)

But is it worth its weight in gold? did it actually work?

Lavender has been used in many baby products in the past, it as antiseptic and anti inflammatory properties and is also used to help calm anxiety suffers, I myself use a lavender oil roll on that I apply to my chest before I go to bed.

I ran a few tests, I tried her with a bath and the body lotion, just the body lotion itself with no bath and obviously a control of no bath, no body lotion and this is what I found

The nights that I bathed and used the body lotion she was asleep before 7 oclock, our bed time is around half 6 in the evening, I try and keep her up later but shes set in her ways haha, When I try just the body lotion, she sleeps a little later but you can kind of tell that shes relaxing and of course when I do neither she us up yelling at us until 7:30..

BUT… I am not sure if its the lotion doing it or just the fact i’m taking the time to sit down and rub her belly and her feet, making her relax, shes always sleepy after a bath anyway So I know the main factor in that is just her having a nice bath..

I think its going to be a case of if it works for you, then it works, and I am still not sure if its worked for R, I know for me when I use it I am out for the count haha, but we are going to take any sleep she gets while using the body lotion as a good night, I will say however that the nights we use ‘Sleepy’ on R, she does go all the way through.

whether its the body lotion or her just growing up.. I don’t know.

Have you ever tried Sleepy? Would you try it knowing all the other stories from it.

Until next time
